Steve has been practicing remedial massage in this clinic since 1996, and has added to his experience with various bodywork therapies, covering a range of physical complaints. He came from a martial arts background, where he learnt the importance of massage, energy flow and body mechanics.

Qualifications
Steve is Qualified in Remedial Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Zen Shiatsu and as a Reiki Master and Trainer.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient form of hands-on healing which can help to alleviate ailments of the body, mind and spirit.The Practitioner places their hands on you in a series of positions, and acts as a channel or conduit for this Universal life-giving energy, transforming and replenishing the existing Lifeforce within you and creating a state of balance and harmony for the body and soul.

Reiki is useful in the treatment of all types of pain, illnesses, burns, bruises, colds, headaches, arthritis, reproductive problems, chronic fatigue syndrome, emotional issues such as stress, depression, insecurity, relationship breakups, and past traumas, and aura and chakra cleansing. No faith or belief is required to receive this type of healing, just an open mind and heart.

As Reiki works on all levels, it treats the cause as well as the resulting illness, returning you to a more balanced state of health. Reiki is sometimes experienced as warmth, a tingling or pulsing sensation, a release of blockages, a feeling of comfort and tranquility, or letting go and forgiveness. Each person's response to a Reiki healing will naturally be unique, reflecting the issues that need to be addressed, so the best way to understand it is to experience it for yourself.

Workshops
Weekend workshops are also available if you would like to learn to use Reiki to heal yourself or others. Workshops include a certificate, a training manual and gourmet vegetarian. Workshops are held in Oatley and here at the Crows Nest Complementary Health Centre. Please advise of any dietary requirements when you make your booking.
